Katie found her love for the game of golf at a young age. She grew up in Summerside, PEI and played junior golf on the Island for several years before attending Campbellsville University in Kentucky to play at the collegiate level. Her college career included 3 wins, 14 top 5 and 24 top 10 finishes. Her passion for the game and love of learning led her to pursue a Master’s of Science in Biomechanics at the University of Kentucky where she studied 3D golf biomechanics. Becoming TPI certified and a PGA Class A professional has also deepened her understanding of the body’s connection to the swing. She has worked as an Assistant Golf Professional at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville, KY since 2018 with a strong emphasis on teaching and growing the game. She has worked with players of all ages and abilities. Using an individualized approach, her goal for each player is to help them enjoy the game more and perform at their best. Katie is thrilled to be back home on the Island and looks forward to growing the game where her love for golf all began.
